Looking towards the growing demands of the market, Institute of Media studies has introduced the course MASTER DEGREE IN PUBLIC RELATION AND ADVERTISING (MPA). The course mostly aims at providing a challenging opportunity to the new generation to pursue their career in Public relation and Advertising. In the mean while the growing industrialization in India has brought a big opportunity for students of new generation to work in corporate sector with the companies of billions. The scope of the course not only remains restricted with this only, rather it further goes up to provide the students a better scope to work with the associated fields of communication . MASTER DEGREE IN PUBLIC RELATION AND ADVERTISING (MPA) is a two years program consisting of four semesters.

COURSE FEES

The applicants who are finally selected for admission will have to pay the following fees at the time of admission for 1st year only. The 2nd year fees will be collected at the time of readmission in the next year.

Rs 20,800/- only, payable at the time of admission in 1st year and Rs20,800/- only, payable at the time of re-admission in 2nd year for the MPA students.

COURSE SPECIALITY

  • Orientation Programme: Before the beginning of the first academic session, IMS organizes an orientation programme to enable the freshers understand and internalise the academic requirements, know about the institute's vision and commitments etc.

  • Classroom Transactions/Seminars/Workshops: Classroom teaching and learning methods are interactive. Essential audio-visual aids are used. Workshops seminars and extra-mural lectures by experts are organized as a part of the curriculum.

  • Practical Training: The students are required to spend 8 weeks in practical training at their own cost in different spells during the vacation. They will have to be attached to different newspapers and government and non-government organizations both inside and outside the state, and are to submit a report on completion of their assignments.

  • Dissertation: Students are required to prepare dissertations on topics of their own. The objective is to train the students to do an in-depth study of some aspects relating to their studies.
